Quexst Healthcare brings you the opportunity to train with different experts, to use UBE technique for Spine Surgeies. We offer short duration International Observerships of 1 week or 2 weeks. Unilateral biportal endoscopic (UBE) decompression techniques is a percutaneous full endoscopic technique. It is performed through two separated small surgical wounds on either side of the spinous process. Lot of advanced procedures are being carried out using endoscopic techniques. The skill level & Precision required for these surgeries is far higher than open surgeries and therefore the guidance from an expert with a short duration Observership is the demand of today.
Since a student is a qualified Orthopedic surgeon, our international partners have designed absolutely state of art short duration Observerships of 1 o2 weeks only. The Observership student will receive the certificate from the teaching hospital. The certificate issued on successful completion of the clinical rotation is not a registrable qualification.
The Quexst partner in Busan, South Korea will help the student in all aspects of the observership.

Post graduate orthopedic Surgeons are eligible to join this Observership. Depending on learning objectives, number of years surgical experience is important also.

SOP: Your statement of Purpose is an important document, as it describes why you want to do the Observership. It shows your keenness to learn new professional skills. It portrays your existing knowledge base. It is an important document to be specially prepared for the fellowship opportunity you are seeking to join.
UG & PG CERTIFICATES: These documents are proofs of the qualifications written about in CV.
COUNCIL REGISTRATION: Your medical council registration details are important, as without these, you do not become eligible to practice and therefore also for the learning opportunity.
PASSPORT COPIES: For international learning opportunity, valid passport with validity for 6 months after completion of the stay outside the country of origin is necessary.

Observerships are planned as per the learning objectives, but these may not be necessarily structured. The student is expected to get comprehensive practical knowledge. Hence the fellow may be asked to shadow the mentor (depends entirely on the mentor) and will be involved in many professional activities as advised by the mentor
The Patient flow is not predictable; hence number of surgeries are not committed to. The mentor will try to give the best possible practical exposure to the fellow.
You will get a Observerships certificate signed by your mentor, on successful completion. The awarded certificate is not a registrable qualification.

Copies of MBBS, Post graduate certificate, medical council registration, and Statement of purpose with the latest updated CV.
It is good to plan and register for the Observerships 4 months advance and latest at least 2 months before the start date.
The Observerships once scheduled should not be changed. Only under emergency conditions and approved by the mentor the schedule may be changed. However, a change will have commercial impact.

The estimation of cost needs to be done for Academic fees and Travel plus Living expenses. Academic fee is mentioned in the quote given by Quexst. The Travel expenses include international travel (VISA fees and Airfare) and Location based travel during the fellowship period. The living expenses include stay, food, laundry, site seeing and any other incidental expenses. These depend on your living style and preferences. These are very person dependent. The actual expenses also get impacted by currency conversion rates.
Some Observership fees include stay and food at the fellowship location. Please check for the same.
It is advisable to plan your Observerships well in advance to be able to make all arrangements properly. There are many online booking options. Typically, these options do work well. Your travel agent can help you with VISA and Travel tickets. Those familiar with these procedures can also do all booking online. Quexst will help you with some facilitation, but Quexst is not a travel agency. All the payments for these bookings need to be made by the student directly, Academic fees and Facilitation fee charged by Quexst does not include charges for VISA, Stay, Travel etc.
For VISA Processing, The Quexst counsellor will give this information. Every country has different VISA requirement. Quexst Through teaching hospital) will provide invitation letter after the fellow has paid the fees.
The fee is charged is only for academics. The fee charged is teaching fee to the hospital and administrative and facilitation charges to Quexst. It doesn’t include VISA, Travel, Stay, Food and incidental expenses. However, there are few observerships where fees include the stay arrangements and food etc. Please check the details from your counselor and what is mentioned in the performa Invoice.
