Infectious Disease has become a very critical and sensitive practice area in recent times. A practicing doctor needs to have updated knowledge. Patients of many infections which were not frequently seen earlier, are being found in recent times. There are diseases where the treatment methods have changed. A practicing doctor has a role in educating the patients and their family members about the Infectious Diseases, its preventive and curative needs as well.

 

Quexst Healthcare offers a 52 weeks duration fellowship in Infectious Disease. It’s a fully online learning opportunity, where the fellow is expected to learn from expert mentors without leaving his/her practice and yet get the benefit of practical exposure through the new learning methods with use of technology. The learning happens on interactive learning methods developed using technology.

The certificate issued on successful completion of the course is not a registrable qualification.

HANDS ON

This is a fully online fellowship, hence there is no hands-on exposure.

The fellowship includes following learning opportunity

  • Online lecture series and MCQ based assessment in Adult Infections
  • Online lecture series and MCQ based assessment in Pediatric Infections
  • Case studies with assessment through MCQ based test
  • Interactive lecture series
  • Academic Discussion Forum with Academic expert
  • Study material – a reference book

The assessment will happen through the MCQ based tests and Viva Voce.

The fellowship certificate awarded on successful completion is not a registrable qualification.

Graduate/Post-graduate registered Physicians are eligible to join this fellowship

DURATION & LOCATIONS

This is a 52 weeks fellowship. As this is a fully online program, the student can be located in any geography and does not need to travel for study or assessment.  The entire learning and assessment / evaluation will be done with use of technology, remotely.

The fellowship has following learning components:

  • Recorded lectures: these are made available on our learning management system. The student will get access to it by a login. The student’s learning activity is tracked on the system. These lectures can be studied multiple times and anytime, any place. The lectures are intended to give you in-depth knowledge of all diseases that come under the scope of Infectious Disease, including pediatric Infections. Your knowledge gain gets evaluated through MCQ based tests on the same online learning platform.  This learning content is available to you through the fellowship period.
  • Real time lectures: these will be conducted every 4 weeks. Students are expected to attend minimum 6 lectures.
  • Case studies: you will be sent 12 cases, To study, analyse, diagnose , and respond to MCQ  based test.
  • Academic Discussion Forum: every student is expected to actively participate in the discussion forum where the expert faculty will launch a topic for discussion every 2 weeks.
  • Reference book: An Exhaustive reference book is given , The student should make use of the book at all times.
YOUR DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

CV: Your Curriculum Vitae reflects your educational background as well as your professional profile. It needs to be up-to-date with all important details like qualification, experience, achievements given in detail. Its also important to give 2 professional references to complete the CV requirements.

UG & PG CERTIFICATES: These documents are proofs of the qualifications written about in CV.

COUNCIL REGISTRATION: Your medical council registration details are important, as without these, you do not become eligible to practice and therefore also for the learning opportunity.

HOW TO REGISTER
  • Send us copies of your Medical Council Registration, degrees, and your CV.
  • Your documents will be used for eligibility confirmation,
  • On receiving confirmation from academic team, the eligibility confirmation cum proforma invoice will be sent to you. The initial booking amount needs be paid as mentioned in Proforma Invoice, immediately as per the validity mentioned in the invoice.
  • Pay the balance fee as per the schedule given in the Proforma Invoice and start making the plans for joining the fellowship.

This is a fully online fellowship, hence hands on is not possible. However, through the use of case studies, the student is expected to get practical exposure.

You will get a fellowship certificate signed by your mentor, on successful completion. The awarded certificate is not a registrable qualification.

No. a student can complete all learning component to earn fellowship certificate. However, there is minimum stipulated period of 26 weeks mandatory for completing the fellowship.
