Dr. Sibasis Garnayak, completed a one-month fellowship in the arthroplasty program under Dr. Dhiraj Marothi Sir at Epic Hospital, Ahmedabad, in February 2025. It was a rigorous learning experience at the center. I had exposure to primary and complex total knee arthroplasty cases. Dr. Dhiraj Sir allowed me to scrub in all cases starting from day one. The operation theatres were ultra-modern, modular, and super clean. We used to do 2 to 3 cases daily, including bilateral TKR.
Dr. Dhiraj Sir used to share his experiences and learning points from the Hospital for Special Surgery, New York, and Ninewells Hospital, UK. He also emphasized empathetic patient care during and after surgery. He did not hesitate to answer the silly questions to the most difficult ones too.
During the evening, we used to discuss cases at his RACE Clinic. His entire team, including Dr. Yash and Dr. Mumtaz, were also very welcoming and warm. Most importantly, this fellowship program helped me in network building with top arthroplasty surgeons in the country and gave me new insights into patient care altogether.
Last but not least, Miss Zarine H. Mehta and Miss Riddhi Purve were supportive throughout this wonderful journey.
Good learning experience.
The mentor was good.

“I undertook the Arthroplasty fellowship program arranged by Quesxt Healthcare with Dr. Nilen Shah in Mumbai from 06/01/2025 to 31/01/2025.
It was a privilege and an honor to be under such an esteemed mentor, Dr. Nilen Shah, who is not just an excellent surgeon but also a great teacher and person.
I had the opportunity to attend the orthopedic surgeries at world-class hospitals of India with state-of-the-art facilities.
I learned a lot despite being an experienced surgeon myself.
I thank Mr. Ravindra, Ms. Zarine, and Ms. Riddhi, the staff at Quesxt Healthcare, for their help and guidance.”
Learning experience was very good during my Arthroplasty fellowship in Mumbai.Yes, definitely my mentor Dr. Nilen Shah has cleared all my doubts and queries satisfactorily, and Sir was teaching during surgeries as well as in clinics also.In OPD, I saw all variety of cases and how to do a pre-operative workup in all knee replacement patients. In OT, I washed for 60 cases with Sir and observed around 40 cases, including both knee and hip replacements and robotic knee replacement surgery.I visited Breach Candy Hospital, HN Reliance Hospital, Wockhardt Hospital, SR Mehta Hospital, and PD Hinduja Hospital, and all the hospitals were very good and fully equipped.I suggest getting some association approval for this fellowship with Dr. Nilen Shah.Because in some fellowships, the surgeries we saw in 3 months or 6 months we can easily see in one month with Sir, so kindly try to get some Arthroplasty association approval.I THANK QUEXST HEALTHCARE ORGANISATION IN HELPING ME TO LEARN ARTHROPLASTY FROM A GREAT SURGEON LIKE DR. NILEN SHAH.
