LEARNING MODEL

The online certificate program in Orthopedic Oncology is developed for all those who are Orthopedic Surgeons. This program is intended to introduce to all orthopedic surgeons the basics in orthopedic oncology. The course is offered by distance learning method where by the student will log-in on the Learning Management System and study the subject through the video lectures. The course offers full flexibility allowing the student to study the lectures any time, any number of times. As this is an eLearning course, the assessments are done through MCQ based online tests.

The course lectures are delivered through the online learning and assessment platform, our Learning Management system (LMS).The course duration is 12 weeks. There are 2 modules. On completion of every module, the student has to give a short module end test. All assessments are MCQ based examination. After all module study and assessments are complete, the student gives a final MCQ based examination. On successful completion of final examination, a certificate of completion will be issued. The course certificate is not registrable.

The student gets a chance to reappear for the examination once if the first attempt is unsuccessful.

DURATION & TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The course duration is 12 weeks from the start date of the course. However, in case the student is unable to complete the study and final examination in stipulated time, on request the student is given maximum additional 12 weeks to complete the course. In case the student wants to continue the study further to complete the course beyond 24 weeks, the student will need to pay applicable administrative fees and continue and finish the course in further time allocated for completion.

Student once registered can not withdraw from the course and will not be given refund of fees , once paid.
The student is given eligibility based on the medical council registration details submitted by him/her. In case the details are false, the student can not be given course certificate and will not be given any refund of fees.

All Allopathy Orthopedicians, registered with National Medical Commission, India are eligible. All those who are registered with NMC, need to submit their Medical Council Name and Number for eligibility confirmation.

Foreign Nationals need to submit their license to practice for eligibility confirmation.

HOW TO REGISTER

Send us copies of your Medical Council Registration details( Council Name and student registration no)
Your request with documents provided by you will be sent for eligibility confirmation.
On receiving confirmation, the eligibility confirmation letter along with fees and bank details will be sent to you.
On receipt of fees payment by bank transfer / or payment options, your profile will be created on the learning Management System and your will receive the email with username, password and start up instructions.

A well thought out syllabus based course gives comprehensive knowledge where as an observership will give practical but limited knowledge. The expert mentor does not conduct a lecture and cannot give detailed explanation during the surgery or OPD. After doing the course, a short duration observership will help to get practical knowledge.

4.How do I use the knowledge acquired through this program?

This program is to give Orthopedic Surgeons, introduction to Bone related probabilities of Cancer. Orthopedic Oncology is a complicated subject to be taught in an online course, however, the basic knowledge imparted through this course will help the orthopaedician a probable case of Orthopaedic oncology.
