Emergency and Trauma Management for Healthcare Professionals

As India’s healthcare is moving towards large corporate hospitals, the need for trained practitioners are required in the field of Emergency and Trauma Management. No of cases of emergency and trauma and scope of it , are on increase, hence the need for well trained doctors and healthcare team has become important to every large hospital.

SYLLABUS

This program starts with a 25 lectures online program covering following topics. The fellows will also under go formal training in the department during clinical rotation. The fellow is expected to work full time is shifts, as required. The online course covers following modules.

LEARNING MODEL

The online certificate course in Emergency and Trauma Management is developed for all those who are MBBS graduates and above. Evidence based learning approach is most important to practicing medical graduates. The course is offered by distance learning method where by the student will log-in on the Learning Management System and study the subject through the video lectures. The course offers full flexibility allowing the student to study the lectures any time, any number of times. As this is an eLearning course, the assessments are done through MCQ based online tests.

The course lectures are delivered through the online learning and assessment platform, our Learning Management system (LMS)

The course duration is 12 weeks. There are 5 modules. On completion of every module, the student has to give a short module end test. All assessments are MCQ based examination. After all module study and assessments are complete, the student gives a final MCQ based examination. On successful completion of final examination, a certificate of completion will be issued. The course certificate is not registrable.

The student gets a chance to reappear for the examination once if the first attempt is unsuccessful. On successful completion the fellow will join Jupiter department of Emergency and Trauma. This will be a full time 6 months clinical rotation,

DURATION & TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The course duration is 12 weeks from the start date of the course. However, in case the student is unable to complete the study and final examination in stipulated time, on request the student is given maximum additional 12 weeks to complete the course. In case the student wants to continue the study further to complete the course beyond 24 weeks, the student will need to pay applicable administrative fees and continue and finish the course in further time allocated for completion.

Student once registered can not withdraw from the course and will not be given refund of fees , once paid.
The student is given eligibility based on the medical council registration details submitted by him/her. In case the details are false, the student cannot be given course certificate and will not be given any refund of fees.

All Allopathy practitioners, registered with National Medical Commission, India are eligible. All those who are registered with NMC, need to submit their Medical Council Name and Number for eligibility confirmation.

Foreign Nationals need to submit their license to practice for eligibility confirmation.

HOW TO REGISTER

Since this is an eLearning course, we use technology starting from registration process
The steps to be followed are given below:

Send us copies of your Medical Council Registration details( Council Name and student registration no)
Your request with documents provided by you will be sent for eligibility confirmation.
On receiving confirmation, the eligibility confirmation letter along with fees and bank details will be sent to you.
On receipt of fees payment by bank transfer / or payment options, your profile will be created on the learning Management System and your will receive the email with username, password and start up instructions.

1. Is Online learning a good option for this program?

Though the subject is taught using internet based learning method, it covers all areas of Emergency and Trauma Management. The program is meant for practicing doctors, who would find it difficult to attend lectures at a specific time & to reach location for study purpose. The lectures can be accessed any time, any number of times, so you can study them as per your convenience. These are not time bound. You can complete the program in shorter period, but we suggest you give more time to study to be able to complete assessment tests in effective manner

5. I am not based in India. Can I still do the program?

You can do the program sitting in any part of the world, since it's a completely online program. You can study these Video Lectures any time of the day since it is not time bound. You can also give MCQ Based exams after each module and Final examination as per your convenience.

6. Can I get practical hands-on experience in the program?
